Audiologist Dr. Cristin Richards, Au. D

Dr. Cristin Richards has been working towards the hearing health of her patients since 1998.  She obtained her Masters degree in Audiology from Sac State in Sacramento, CA, in 2000 and then obtained her Doctoral degree from Salus University in Elkin Park, PA in 2010.  She performs comprehensive Audiological evaluations for patients as young as newborns through the elderly.

She also specializes in Central Auditory processing evaluation and remediation. She keeps up to date with new amplification technology through continuing education and academic research. Dr. Richards also enjoys knitting, learning new languages, and lives in Auburn, Maine with her partner and first child.


Mark R Hammond, MA, CCC-SLP Director

Mark R. Hammond is a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). He obtained his Masters degree at the University of Maine at Orono in 1977 and the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in 1978. He served as the speech-language pathologist  in the Pittsfield, Maine school department from 1976-1979. He became a staff SLP at Maine Medical Center and served as the Director of the Communication Disorders Department from 1983-1989, when he opened his private practice.  The first employee was hired in 1992 and in 2000 the audiology department was added and Mark R. Hammond Associates, Inc. became a Speech and Hearing Agency. Mark now serves as the Director one of the largest Speech and Hearing Agencies in Maine, employing 26 SLPs and an audiologist.
